OH MR. LAND DEVELOPER
I’m no land developer,
No surveyor of any kind,
But Washington State,
Has no public beach left,
That is that we can find!
I’ve been kicked off of,
All my old stomping grounds,
The sewage treatment plant,
Resides and reigns there now
The water is tainted,
From the sand to the grass,
Now due to the funk,
You leave scratching your ass
There's no more fish,
Left to be found,
And the sign even says ,
Don’t swim or fish in Puget frigin’Sound
Not even your hound!
And lastly, there’s a bee in the old bags bonnet,
Who now ownes much of the land,
She screams bloody murder,
If you cross over her sand
She says "This really isn't a public beach",
While she shakes her hand as far as she can reach,
She screams, "the waterfront is all mine",
"I own all this sand and for me that is just fine",
"It’s all private property now",
Go home you saps, move along little cows",
Besides she says "I can’t get out of my garage when you park there",
"I own three cadallics and there's no bee in my hair",
I know we voted not to sell
The waterfront of Puget Sound,
But that is not what I have found!
The land developers and politicians
Created the law of this sand,
And what they couldn’t keep to themselves
They sold to the man,
Actually, they sold it to public utilities,
And made sewage treatment plans,
To keep the public out,
There are beach access pathways,
They go backwards and forwards,
But rarely do they go sideways
Just stay on the path
And don't bring your dog,
The signs say no swimming
The water is like sloth,
And there's no picnic tables,You get ticketed if you venture off
But alas, a few individuals,
And the utlities own it now,
I often wonder why, who and just exactly how
How could so few own the parking and access,
The trees and the sand,
To me this is just another infamous,
Land Developement Scam!
