Eye of the Newt

On TV everyday,
I see the eye of the Newt,
He rang in the New Year,
And made me want to puke

How could this be our man,
Acting like a big fat king,
With the power to reign,
Over this great land

He immediately proclaimed
Welfare Mothers and the Poor,
Are something that he would stand no more!

Blamming children for their needs,
Proves simply,
Newt is a bad seed

I was almost agast
At all of Newt's patrioteers
Then someone shouted,
This won't be Newts Year,
It’s not the year of the big fat boar,
And we won't let you cut on welfare families or the poor

I know the differences are hard to see,
Between Newt and the boar is what I mean,
As they stand side by side,
The similarities become clear to the eye,
To Newt’s pigskin we add one tooth,
And to the Boar we give a suit,
And then look again,
At what this year means,
Newt and the Boar,
Are really one big theme.
How could this be our man,
With the power to reign,
Over this great land

Oh, Newt I detest you,
Oh, dearly clearly I surely do,
As usual you focus on the poor,
Claiming the welfare budget is what we need to reform,
You really have nothing credible to say,
It is clear you think cutting social services,
Are the only budget cutting needs of today,

I know Newts not our man,
Just look at his big fat gut,
Why don't you put that down,
As something the budget should cut!
