Court Reporting over the Hill

Who will be next,
Who will the reporters kill,
Conjuring up the wildest of stories,
Found only on the Whitehouse hill

Reporters flock to the Whitehouse,
In masses they come,
To see what the President,
Or whomever has done

They've abandoned the ideal,
Of journalistic professionalism,
In order to get favors and readers,
Through checkbook journalistic sensationalism,

So who will be the next they kill,
As wild court reporting occurs all over the hill,
Now some of them are guilty as hell,
Of the ultimate disloyalty,
Getting tips on selling stock
And taking unearned royaltys,
Now this is news worthy,
News to eat and to chew,
But this is not what I am herein referring to

It is when the news is not so grand,
Then they make a mystery out of,
A woman and a man,
Who’s doing who,
And where did they go,
It sounds like love in Jr. High School,
When we wanted everyone to know

But now we have grown,
And we know so much better,
And our minds have matured,
And this doesn’t really matter

Then why, I ask this of you,
Do we care who knows or sleeps with who,
Besides don’t you know,
You would try and hide it too!

So please change your text,
And court reporting styles,
Cause what I’ve been reading,
Came from a shit pile
